Morning Hour Traffic

Check out this phone call! It's supposed to be from a man in Texas on the way to work who witnesses a car accident that involved 4 elderly women. The folks at CHUM-FM (we had a CHUM-FM back in Toronto!) played it and it ws so popular, they had to post it on their website!

Someone on Roger Rick and Marilyn makes a comment before playing the recording, " . . . we can assume 911's already been called" and a woman responds "right". But it is clear that could not be possible as the call begins before the accident occurs.

Here's a link to snopes.com's take on it: http://www.snopes.com/autos/mishaps/beating.asp

Laughter is, indeed, infectious.

Indeed, it may well have been a staged call. But before posting this now-classic and well-circulated piece, I did re-write the intro. "It's SUPPOSED to be from a man in Texas on the way to work..." I think I remember another one of these popular recordings of some nasty lady calling about picking up her car from a tow yard and finding a turd in the backseat. Turns out that one was clipped from a TV comedy show. But always good for a laugh! I'll have to try finiding that one to post some time -- it was a good one!
