That is Lake Erie in the background. Check out Sandusky on the Ohio map and it's mid state, North. Quite a park. Same guys designed it as Kings Island at the Cincinnati end of the state.
my daughter added: Its at Cedar Point. Top Thrill Dragster. I rode it this summer! It was AWESOME! I didnt pee myself either, but if the line was shorter I would have jumped back on it.
