Non-Newtonian Fluid Video from Spain

A friend of mine sent me a link to this video made with a live audience and the two hosts demonstrating the strange properties of a Non-Newtonian Fluid in a small pond. If you can stomp across the surface quickly and deliberately, you can literally float across the surface. But dawdle and stand still and you'll slowly sink in. A good example is cornstarch and water; the mixture is quite liquid but can settle into a solid-like state easily if you've ever tried to stick a spoon into the mixture when it solidifies under pressure. You can read more about Non-Newtonian Fluids on Wikipedia HERE. As shown on YouTube.
