I did end up attending a private school for two years, and that was one of the few times I felt the playing field was leveled when it came to social status. We all had the same clothes - we were the same - and it felt good. Although I think this piece was from Comedy Central or some other show, a lot of other people have sent me comments offline about how dress codes did make things simpler for the kids.
